OUR STORY

The life and soul of Afterglow is Telsys Tarallo, a palm-tree and beach loving Miami, FL native. After years of working for big agencies on global brands, Telsys decided that she wanted to create a more laid-back approach to business. Afterglow's first sunrise came in the summer of 2011 and hasn't stopped shining since. Telsys has been recognized for her work in several publications such as Nenani and Voyage MIA. She was a featured speaker at the 2017 BizBash Live: Florida and was honored at the 2018 Modern OM: Earth Day Mass Meditation as one of Miami's Conscious Leaders.

ATHLETE RACE
Every Action Causes Reaction. Athlete Race is a passion project started by our Owner & Director, Telsys Tarallo. It is a non-traditional triathlon and an epic social festival event. The disciplines and distances for the triathlon change yearly based on alarming social causes and statistics that have been published about those causes. Three legs to the race and each of them benefits a local cause, a national cause and a global cause. We are aiming to be the most well known triathlon for 'social good cause' racing and the most epic social festival event that raises awareness about how to be a better steward for our planet and the human race.

FEMALE FOUNDER COLLECTIVE
Our founder, Telsys Tarallo, is a proud member of the Female Founder Collective which is a network of businesses led by women, supporting women. Their mission is to enable and empower female owned and led businesses to positively impact communities, both socially and economically.

SURFRIDER
At Afterglow, beaches are our playground and we are passionate about protecting them. We volunteer, support and do pro-bono work for the world's biggest grassroots non-profit environmental organization that works to protect and preserve the world's oceans, waves and beaches - Surfrider Foundation. Join us at our next event, beach clean-up or just hang with some really cool people making a difference in the fight against keeping our oceans and beaches healthy.
